Community

At Agile Learning Labs, we believe in giving back to the Agile community. We do this by sponsoring events and by donating cash, services and elbow grease to various nonprofit organizations. Here are a few of our favorite causes:

Bay Area Agile Managers’ Support Group

Agile Learning Labs founded this ongoing monthly meetup, now with over 250 members. The group meets every third Wednesday for pizza and lively, confidential discussion of the issues facing Agile managers in the field.

Agile Open California

Chris, Steve and Hillary have all served on the co-ordinating committee for this unique community event, an annual un-conference (now with Northern and Southern California versions) put on by and for the Agile community.

BayAPLN (Agile Project Leadership Network)

Steve and Chris both serve on the co-ordinating committee of the local chapter of the APLN, an organization whose mission is “connecting, developing, and supporting great project leaders” through the promotion of Agile values and practices.

North Bay Agile Group

Steve co-founded this interest group that meets monthly and hosts speakers from around the community.

IEEE Technical Management Council

IEEE LogoChris served as 2009 Board Chairman of this group promoting excellence in technical management.

Project Management Institute: San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
