As a Scrum Product Owner, you are on a first-name basis with your users, have mapped their requirements thoroughly, and know that map like the back of your hand. You know the risk and business value in each user story, and are able to effortlessly assemble a backlog the team can implement. You are always available to the team, and constantly meeting with your users, customers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. No problem!
This experiential workshop will equip you with tools to tackle the formidable but rewarding role of Product Owner. You’ll gain real practice in class through hands-on exercises, project simulations and live demonstrations. Our goal is that you leave class with a sense that you’ve not only grasped the concepts, but that you’ve now “done” it.
Completion of the course leads to Scrum Product Owner certification through the Scrum Alliance, and is worth 14 PDUs from the Project Management Institute. The instructions from the Project Management Institute can be found on their page How to Submit a PDU claim
Feel free to email us if you have more questions about the workshop.
Testimonials from students who have taken this workshop:
I don’t think I’ve ever gained this much insight in this little time before. Your teaching style is outstanding and your personal approach fosters a great learning environment. I left your class greatly encouraged and highly motivated. Thank you.
Agile Learning Labs stands apart from many Agile/scrum houses. They use immersion to teach. Much like the best way to learn a language is to live with native speakers, Agile Learning Labs teaches scrum, using scrum. Their approach goes beyond seeing the theory and responding to verbal quizzes; it engages the ‘muscle memory’ of doing. Even Executive presentations demonstrate Agile topics, and by extension show the power of a sprint review. The workshop & trainings I’ve had with Agile Learning Labs always leave me not only with new perspectives, but also practical new ways to advance Agile in my teams.
I touched down in Austin, TX and want to thank you for your flexibility and your awesome class delivery. You and David hit all the marks in terms of the environment you set up, the level of student participation, the relevance of the material, the practicality, and the sheer enjoyment of learning. I hope we meet again in a training or workshop soon.
“The teaching style is interactive, which facilitates the learning process. Never a dull moment!”
